Health for All
The Health for All project is a community-centered initiative working to improve access to health-related human rights for 4,800 of the most marginalized and vulnerable women and girls in Traditional Authority Malengachanzi, Nkhotakota District. At the heart of the project is a strong focus on out-of-school adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), many of whom face overlapping challenges due to early marriage, motherhood, disability, and experiences of gender-based violence.
Through a comprehensive and rights-based approach, the project aims to:
- Deliver accurate, evidence-based sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information that empowers young women to make informed choices.
- Address the root causes of gender-based inequalities by challenging harmful norms and promoting inclusive dialogue within communities.
- Improve access to quality, youth-friendly health services that are responsive to the unique needs of out-of-school AGYW.
- Promote agency and self-determination, enabling girls and young women to take charge of decisions about their bodies, health, and futures.
To build stronger, supportive communities, the Health for All project actively engages with a wide range of stakeholders; including traditional leaders, religious leaders, parents, local service providers, and community-based organizations. These partnerships are key in shifting attitudes, fostering accountability, and ensuring that change is rooted in the realities of the communities, we serve.
The project also harnesses the power of mass media and community outreach to spread awareness and education. Through interactive radio programs and community dialogues, we bring vital information to even the most remote or underserved populations, ensuring that no one is left behind.
By working closely with young people and the community around them, the Health for All project is creating a safer, more informed, and more inclusive environment where every girl, regardless of her background or circumstance, can live a healthy, empowered life.
